Victoria Foundation Opens Registration for Newark Future Forum

Hear from Renowned Experts and Thought Leaders on Oct. 12 at Rutgers University

As part of our centennial celebration and ongoing commitment to strengthening community power, fostering economic justice, and promoting youth self-determination in Newark, New Jersey, Victoria Foundation, in partnership with Rutgers University — Newark, is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the Newark Future Forum: Building Together.

Join us on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Paul Robeson Campus Center for this exciting one-day symposium, featuring our special guest speaker – an award-winning real estate developer and urban revitalization strategist – who will participate in a lunchtime fireside chat with moderator and Victoria Foundation Vice President of Strategy, Impact, and Communications Sharnita C. Johnson.

The forum will also feature four engaging and actionable panel discussions with thought leaders who are knowledgeable about the Foundation's areas of focus: economic justice, community power, and youth self-determination. For example, the morning plenary, "Building Collective Power: Community-Led Solutions for Equity and Justice," moderated by Victoria Foundation Executive Officer Craig Drinkard, features an all-star speaker lineup of esteemed leaders in philanthropy and social change from the Hyams Foundation, North Star Fund, and the Youth Organizing and Culture Change Fund, who will offer practical examples of innovations, visionary perspectives, and opportunities for building collective power to advance racial equity and justice.
